Welcome to Wrigleyville
Located within the Lakeview community, Wrigleyville is a neighborhood surrounding Chicago’s historic Wrigley Field, hence its name. Built in the early 1900s, the now legendary baseball park is home to the Chicago Cubs, and is also the country’s second oldest baseball stadium. It was the construction of the stadium that ultimately led to the creation of one of Chicago’s most beloved neighborhoods.
​​​​​​​A community with a very festive atmosphere, Wrigleyville is riddled with a slew of restaurants and bars frequented by droves of sports fans, especially during Cubs home games. It’s not all sports-themed bars and restaurants though – there are also several excellent live music venues, stand-up comedy bars, and dance clubs within the neighborhood. And for residents in search of some fresh air, there’s also a number of nearby parks, beaches, and trails along Lakeshore Drive, including Montrose Beach, the Bill Jarvis Bird Sanctuary, Waveland Picnic Field, and more.
